HOULTON – Thomas O. Hannigan, 66, passed away peacefully Nov. 29, 2007, in the company of this family. He was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Houlton, the son of Owen and Madeline (Shinnick) Hannigan. Tom was a graduate of Houlton High School, Class of 1961, then he enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church, Camera Club of Bangor, Houlton Board of Budget Review, American Legion, VFW and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Tom enjoyed McGill’s Community Band and the evenings of music at Oakfield Community Center, long drives and photographing wildlife in the northern Maine woods. Tom is survived by his wife, Linda (Cassidy) Hannigan; three sons, Michael Hannigan and his wife, Denise, and their children, Gabriel, Seth and Heather, Ricky Hannigan and his wife, Cindy, and their children, Nick, Erin, Tommy and Tyler, Robbie Hannigan and his wife, Angie, and their children, Kaitlin and Carolyn, all of Houlton; two brothers, Paul Hannigan of Holden and David Hannigan of Lakewood, Ohio. Tom was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Donald. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with the Rev. Eddy Morin, celebrant. Interment will be at Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
