ORONO – Thomas R. Leveille, 55, died Nov. 24, 2006, at a Waterville hospital after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 19, 1950, in Bangor, the son of Raymond T. Sr. and Eleanor M. (Lounsbury) Leveille. Thomas was a great brother, uncle, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, neighbor and friend. He was a kind and gentle person and had a quiet but funny personality. Thomas loved the outdoors; enjoying wildlife, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He had great memories dear to his heart of many hunting and fishing trips he went on with close friends. Thomas graduated from Orono High School, Class of 1969. He worked at James River for 36 years prior to his retirement last year. Thomas loved sports on all levels, from youth to pro, and he especially followed Orono High School, University of Maine – Orono teams, the Red Sox and the Patriots. In the 1980s he became an avid golf player. He was a non-active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Orono, and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a twin brother, Timothy of Virginia; a sister, Cynthia and husband, Huber, of Connecticut; a brother, Raymond “Skip” Jr. and wife, Donna, of Fairfield; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Michael, Stacey, Teresa, Libby and Elly; many aunts, uncles, cousins, a great-niece, three great-nephews; special friends, the Myers family; and many other close friends. A graveside funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono, with the Rev. Wilfred Labbe, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Orono, officiating.
