BANGOR and EDDINGTON V. LaVerne Stoner, 67, wife of the late Tracy A. Stoner Sr., died Aug. 21, 2006, at a Bangor health care center. She was born Jan. 31, 1939, in Brewer, the daughter of LaVerne O. and Virginia I. (Day) Bissell. Surviving are three children, Ronald Vilasuso Jr. of Orrington, Jennifer Willoughby and her husband, Donald, of Hermon and Julie O’Connell of Brewer; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one beloved brother, Richard Bissell and his wife, Louise, of Holden; a special aunt, Althea Horne of Jacumba, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; including a special cousin, Ruth Smith of Florida City, Fla. She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Robert Bissell; and two sisters, Gloria Furrow and Regina Randall. Her family wishes to offer a very special thank you to the staff at Eastside Rehab. for the exceptional care given to LaVerne in her last days, as well as the love and support shown to Jen.
