SHERMAN and HOULTON – Vaughn “Sonny” McNally, 73, went to be with his Lord, Dec. 31, 2006, in Houlton, with his family at his side. He was born March 6, 1933, in Stacyville, the son of Fred McNally and Minnie Kennedy. Sonny was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville. He bowled with the Stump Farmers, coached little league and umpired. Sonny loved trucking. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eva Bonnie (Weeks) McNally of Houlton; six children, Janet and her husband, Peter Thomas, of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Roxene and her husband, Daniel Williams, of Patten, Bertha McNally Stephenson and her husband, David, of Waterboro, Rosa McNally of Limestone, Vonda McNally of Woodland and Dwayne and his wife, Debbie McNally, of Wallingford, Conn.; 11 grandchildren, Luke, Andrew, Darcy, James, Joseph, David, Melanie, Hope, Amber, Matthew and Whitnee; six great-grandchildren, Mariah, Hannah, Elijah, Micah, Isaac and Zackery; two brothers, Frances and his wife, Margaret, of Newport and Clayton “Joe” of Portland; two sisters, Verna and her husband, Harold Davis, of Millinocket and Winnifred Byers of East Millinocket. He was predeceased by his parents and stepfather, John Kennedy; a grandson, Ben; three brothers, Irving, Harvey and Edgar; and one sister, Geraldine. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastors Peter Thomas, his son-in-law and Donnis Willigar Jr. officiating.
