ASHLAND – Vera M. Legassey, 83, died Oct. 27, 2007, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Ash-land, daughter of Creighton and Lucy (Michaud) Kinney. She is survived by four sons, Thomas Legassey of Hebron, Conn., Dana and Larry Legassey, both of Stockton Springs and James Legassey of Brewer; four daughters, Linda Gilman of Naples, Helen McKenna of Brewer, Vivian Larsen of Presque Isle and Betty Lovely of Homosassa, Fla.; 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Legassey in 1993. A graveside committal service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Ashland Municipal Cemetery.
