HOULTON and RAYMOND Vernabelle V. Moran, 78, died July 20, 2008, at a Scarborough health care facility. She was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Houlton, the daughter of Murray and Clare (VanTassel) Varney. Vernabelle was the patient’s account manager at Houlton Regional Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending summers with her husband and friends at their camp on East Grand Lake. She also enjoyed a good meal, especially if lobster was served. She is survived by her children, Robert Moran and his partner, Dianna Simpson, of Bar Harbor, and Debbie Tarsetti of Raymond; two grandchildren, Santino and Sarah Tarsetti of Raymond; two sisters, Nancy Fitzpatrick and her husband, John, of Houlton and Patrica Quinn of Windham; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin “Jake” Moran; and her brother, Murray “Mickey” Varney. At Vernabelle’s request, there will be no funeral.
