WINTERPORT – Victor A. Collins, 45, of Winterport, passed away peacefully Oct. 8, 2004, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness He was born March 15, 1959, in Waterville. Victor served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978 to 1982. He was a long-haul truck driver who had worked for several owner operators as well as Dysart’s Transportation. He was the owner of his own company, Double C Trucking in Winterport. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Tammy Collins of Winterport; parents, Frank and Betty Sturtevant of Waterville; daughter, Crystal Pennell and her husband, Steve, of Fairfield; two sisters, Sharon Mosher and her husband, Rick, of Burnham and Lena Flood and her husband, Bill, of Auburn, Mass.; two stepsons, Doug Redlenske and his wife, Jennifer, of Wilton and Dean Redlenske of Skowhegan; several aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his son, Victor A. Collins II. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 30, 2004, at Brown Cemetery in Benton. Immediately following the service, everyone is welcome to attend a gathering at East Benton Christian Church.
