EDDINGTON – Victor “Vic” I. Cunningham Jr., 82, husband of the late Mil-dred T. “Millie” Cunningham, died Oct. 14, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 8, 1925, in Bangor, the son of Victor I. Cunningham Sr. and Helen (Willey) Cunningham. Vic served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He later enlisted and served in the Merchant Marines. Vic was employed in the shoe industry in Weymouth, Mass., for many years. After his retirement he moved back to his home in Maine, where he ran Airline Small Engine. Surviving are 10 children, Mary Jane Soucy, Madeline Cunningham and Russell Cunningham, all of Otis, Tammy Spencer of Eddington, Jeffrey Cunningham of Clifton, Doris Cicone of Eddington, Iris Brown of Daytona, Fla., Rose Gordon of Rockland, Mass., Karen Bunting of Eddington and Connie-Jo Fillion of Brewer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Cunningham of Clifton and Ronald Cunningham of Brockton, Mass.; two sisters, Pearl Gordon of Clifton and Jane Ann Rice of Kingston, Mass. He was predeceased by two daughters, Patricia Ann Smith and Paula Ahearn. Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m.. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Private interment will be held at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon.
