CARIBOU – Vinal M. Bell, 76, passed away Nov. 9, 2007, in Caribou. He was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Caswell, the son of Sandy and Mamie (Mockler) Bell. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked in a machine shop in Limestone early in life. In 1962, he joined Dead River Co., where he remained a dedicated employee for 41 years. Vinal will be remembered as a generous man, always willing to lend a hand. He is survived by his wife, Jackie (St. Amand) Bell of Caribou; his son, Wayne Bell and his wife, Yvonne, of Tallahassee, Fla.; his daughter, Lynn Black and her husband, Alan, of Chesapeake, Ohio; granddaughters, Ashley and Katie; a great-grandson, Draden; one sister, Connie of Oxford; and one brother, Adrien of Wells. He will also be missed by his best friends, Alan and Paulette Landeen. Private family services will be held at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou.
