INDIAN ISLAND – Vincent R. Norwood, 50, died unexpectedly Nov. 3, 2006. He was born Nov. 11, 1955, in Bangor, a son of Faye A. Norwood. Vincent will be remembered for his fun-loving and outgoing nature. He enjoyed helping out the elders with various projects around the house, never asking for anything in return. He enjoyed the woods and his camp on Sugar Island and was an avid hunter. He was a talented artisan, producing Native American woodcarvings and sweet grass crafts. He is survived by his mother, Faye Arleen Norwood; a daughter, Carissa L. Holmstrom and her husband, Kyle; a son, Jared V. Norwood; a grandson, Hudson Holmstrom; a loving caring sister, Pamela Michaud and her husband, Reno; niece, Dawn Kepple and her husband, Todd; nephew, Travis Michaud and his wife, Angela; great-nephews, Noah, Owen and Bryce Kepple; and good friends, Michael “Herman” Francis and Calvin Francis. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Frances Currier; uncle, Irvin Ranco; aunt and uncle, Jackie and Donald Nelson Sr.; and uncle, Richard Norwood. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, celebrant and Deacon Fred Harrigan, homilist. Burial will be in the family lot at Tribal Cemetery, Indian Island.
