EAST MACHIAS – Kathryn H. Smith, 89, died Nov. 4, 2006, at a Lubec nursing home. She was born May 13, 1917, in Cutler, the daughter of Carroll and Zelma (Randall) Cole. She is survived by a son, Kenneth; a daughter, Wanda McGuire; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth and one son. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Jacksonville Cemetery with Pastor Bill Holmes officiating. Arrangements are in the care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
