CARIBOU – Viola M. Cyr, 80, wife of the late Albert Cyr, died July 3, 2007, in Van Buren, after a brief illness. She was born June 19, 1927, in Caribou, the daughter of Joseph and Beatrice (St. Peter) Nadeau. Mrs. Cyr was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Cyr, Michael and Juanita Cyr, all of Caribou, Greg and Sandra Cyr of Brewer, and Brian and Sandra Cyr of Salem N.H.; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Darrell Stubbs of Caribou; one brother, Reginald Nadeau of Caribou; six sisters, Irene Kenuck of Camden, N.J., Corrine Nadeau of Caribou, Phyllis Jalbert of Missouri, Delores Higgins of Biddeford, Arlene Libby of Kansas City Mo., and Charlene Burgay of Caribou; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
