MILLINOCKET – Virginia C. Isaac Metcalf, 68, wife of Robert C. Metcalf Sr. passed away Nov. 5, 2006, at a Millinocket hospital, suffering from a brain tumor. Born June 6, 1938, in Bangor, she was the daughter of Ulric and Gertrude (Gero) Cyr. Virginia was a graduate of Stearns High School and also Manatee Technical Institute, Florida. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. In addition to her husband of 25 years, Robert, she is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Eleanor M. and Ralf Panitz of Panama City, Fla., Julie and Dennis Ayotte of Millinocket, Pamela Isaac of Millinocket and Jo Anne Isaac of Bradenton, Fla.; a stepson, Robert C. Metcalf Jr. of Kittery; three grandchildren Nicole Rosebush and Philip of Bowdoin, Jamie Jacobs and Steven and Joseph I. Streams, all of Millinocket; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Rosebush, Alyssa Rosebush and Alexander Jacobs; and the father of her children, John Isaac of Listuguj, Quebec. A celebration of life will be held noon Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the First Congregational Church of Millinocket, with the Rev. Carolyn Bradley, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover, Mass.
