BELMONT – Virginia E. Owen, 87, of Belmont died Nov. 08, 2004, at a Belfast hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Augusta, the daughter of Ralph H. and Lilia “Nutting” Brown. Virginia graduated from Cony High School in Augusta. She enjoyed nature, especially watching birds and wild animals. She loved to bake, especially pizza. She greatly appreciated classical music. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Owen; and two brothers, Fred Brown and Clarence Brown. Virginia is survived by one daughter Marcia Blasko and her husband, Mike, of Saco; two sons, Denny Owen and his wife, Elaine, of Morrill and Cris and his wife, Nancy Owen, of Ellsworth; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, 54 Church St., Belfast, with the Rev. Patricia Parker of the First Baptist Church in Belfast officiating.
