WALTHAM – Virginia “Ginni” Wilbur Spaulding, 52, of Route 200, passed away peacefully April 18, 2007, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital after a courageous four-year battle with cervical cancer. Ginni was born May 20, 1954, the only child of Robert M. and Mary (Hardison) Wilbur. Ginni enjoyed spending all her life living at the family home on top of Cave Hill, Waltham. She loved planting flowers in the spring, raking blueberries in the summer, and watching the foliage in the fall. Ginni worked at the Union Trust Co., for 24 years in the mortgage department, where she developed many special friendships. Ginni is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ernest E. Spaulding; her beloved daughter, Traci W. Clair; number one son-in-law, Peter; and a grandchild due in September; a very special friend to Ginni and Traci, Jennifer C. King; step-daughter, Melissa M. Anderson and companion, Carl Holmes; stepson, Ernest R. Spaulding and wife, Lori; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents. Friends are invited to call 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, with Pastor Jim Flye of the Eastbrook Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Waltham.
