MILLINOCKET – Virginia M. Libby, 75, died April 6, 2004 at a local hospital. She was born in Sheridan, Dec. 6, 1928, the daughter of William “Nun” and Maudess (Doll) Carney. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Alan and wife, Marjorie Carney, of Winn and Larry Nathan Libby of Millinocket; three daughters, Mrs. Reginald (Nancy) O’Brikis of East Millinocket, Mrs. Kenneth (Brenda) Preble of Millinocket, and Theresa Michaud of Dover-Foxcroft; two sisters, Jeanette Demers of Medway and Rena Beaulieu of East Millinocket; one brother, LeRoy and his wife, Dorretta Carney, of Howland; a special brother-in-law, Elmer Bell Jr. of Millinocket; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Phillip Libby Jr.; a daughter, Rhonda Irons; one great-grandson, Allan W. Melia; three brothers, Clarence, Leonard, and Lawrence Carney; four sisters, Ida Hudson, Geraldine Wedge, Theresa Bell, and Elizabeth “Betty” Donovan. Virginia will be sadly missed by two very dear friends, Till Bernier and Joyce Wakefield. Friends may call at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, from 10-11 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2004, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Spring burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery.
