DOVER-FOXCROFT – Virginia T. Roberts, 77, wife of the late Herbert E. Roberts, died Oct. 26, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Harland E. and Alice (Bradley) Towne. Virginia graduated from Foxcroft Academy and attended the University of Maine in Orono. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, friend and homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and quilt making with her family and friends. For many summers, she and her husband, Herb, enjoyed the shores of Parson’s Landing, Sebec Lake. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Herb; her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, David and his wife, Emily Roberts, Douglas and his wife, Cheryl Roberts, Kathy and her husband, Bob Maheu, and Dawna Roberts, all of Dover-Foxcroft. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Jason, Joshua and Bradley Roberts, Mandy and her husband, Corey Bisson, Tracey and Heidi Roberts, Eli, Renee and Aaron Maheu, Preston Maheu and his wife, Nancy; as well as four great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. At Virginia’s request, services will be private.
