BANGOR and BELLEAIR, Fla Walter E. Schank Sr. passed away as dawn broke on July 17, 2004. Walter was the husband of the late Doris Hickey Schank. He leaves behind his wife, Diane D. Schank; four children and their spouses, Mary Lou and Bill Donovan, Eileen and Dan Papadatos, Jayne and Paul Ezell, Woody and Kimberley Schank; and his step-children, Angela and Brett Landon, and Nicolle Dauphinee. Mr. Schank was also the proud grandfather to Mary Beth, Bo and Christine, Megan, Dan and Meg, Victoria, Woody, Melissa, Cameron, Krissy, Katy, Erika, Addison, Emmy, and Jessika. He was also a great-grandfather to Liam and Erin. Walter Schank was the proprietor of Schank Printing in Conshohocken, Pa. Mr. Schank’s loving and giving spirit was reflected in all that he did for his family and his community. Walter had been an officer of the Conshohocken Chamber of Commerce, president of the Conshohocken Lion’s Club, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and president of the Conshohocken Visiting Nurses Association. He was also a member of the Conshohocken No. 2 Fire Company, the Montgomery County Board of Advisors, the Conshohocken 4th of July Committee, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Men of Malvern, and the American Legion. Walter was also a 2nd lieutenant World War II veteran. Walter was a member of St. Mathew’s Parish, Conshohocken. Walter Schank’s deep faith and loving ways carried him through 85 beautiful years of life. He touched everyone who met him, and will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all.
