EDDINGTON – Walter Michael Gibula, 39, the husband of Rebecca M. (Baker) Gibula passed away peacefully Fe. 22, 2006 at home. He was born Nov. 13, 1966, in Baltimore, Md., to Walter M. Gibula Sr. and Ann (Stefanik) Gibula Rideout. Walter graduated from Brewer High School in 1984. In 1987, he received an associates degree in electronics from Eastern Maine Technical College. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1987-1991 and was an honor graduate of Technical Training School at Keesler Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife Rebecca; stepfather, Dwinal “Sonny” Rideout of Brewer; sister, Kay Gibula of South Dakota and Lisa Gibula of Eddington; brothers, Christopher and Matthew Rideout of Brewer; nieces, Ashleigh, Jessica and Katie. He will also be sadly missed by Calypso, Gabriel, Isis and Kiwin. Walter was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Denise Gibula. At Walter’s request there will be no formal services. Donations may be made in Walter’s name to the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer.
