HARTLAND – Wardsworth A. Pelkie, 77, died peacefully Oct. 6, 2006, at a Dexter health care facility. He was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Leeds, a son of Adolph and Leona (Chipman) Pelkie. Wardsworth was a resident of Hartland for most of his life and was known and loved by everyone. He was often seen riding his bike and doing odd jobs for people. He faithfully attended the Grace Linn United Methodist Church. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Terri Walker of Appleton, Mike Fanjoy of Smithfield, Roger Fanjoy Jr., Roger Fanjoy Sr., both of Dexter, and Rob Fanjoy of Michigan; and a special cousin, Phil Emery of St. Albans. Wardsworth was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Christine Pelkie; and a niece, Bertha Fanjoy. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Grace Linn United Methodist Church, Hartland, with the Rev. Shandi Mawokomatanda officiating.
