MILFORD – Mary A. Hildreth, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born May 13, 1925, in New York City, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Mooney. Mary was employed for many years at Old Town Furniture and acted as city manager of Old Town for a few years. She enjoyed cooking and loved her home. Mary is survived, and will be sadly missed, by one son, Thomas Hildreth of Milford; two grandsons, Michael Hildreth and his wife, Clarice, of Milford and Stephen Hildreth and his wife, Shylani, of Travis Air Force Base, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Tori and Logan Hildreth of Milford, Andrew, Tommy and Ashleigh Hildreth of California. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Carleton Hildreth; as well as a sister, Dorothy Whittle of New York City. At her request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, Bradley, with Deacon Fred Harrigan officiating.
