EASTPORT – Wayne Allen Ritchie, 42, died unexpectedly Nov. 12, 2004, at his home in Eastport. Wayne attended schools in Eastport and held various jobs throughout his life. Among his many passions was his love of fancy cars and traveling. He lived and worked in numerous states in the U.S., but was always drawn back to Maine and his family. He is survived by his parents, James and Betty Ritchie of Eastport; two sons, Stephen Ritchie of Florida and C.J. Kierstead of Eastport; two stepchildren, Starr Kierstead, and Mark Kierstead; two brothers, Robert Ritchie, James Ritchie and his wife, Jelaine; three sisters, Shirley LaCoute and her husband, Tony, Nancy DeWitt and her husband, David, of Perry, Vicki Matthews and her husband, John, of East Machias; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no visiting hours, a graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Hillside Cemetery, Eastport, with Sheldon Keezer officiating.
