DEXTER and RIPLEY – Wayne Roger Melvin, 58, went to be with the Lord Oct. 11, 2005. He was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Reginald and Dorothea (Smart) Melvin. He was a self-employed auto restorer. Wayne is survived by his wife, Nancy (Schultz) Melvin of Ripley; a son, Reginald Melvin and fiance, Wynette Schultz of Ripley; sisters, Maxine and husband, Francis Brawn, of Dover-Foxcroft; Geraldine and husband, Hubert Tremblay; Debbie and husband, Michael Woodbury, all of Dexter; a stepdaughter, Tia and fiance, Justin Limoges of Garland; his mother-in-law, Joan Lizotte; a sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Darrell Haskell of Manchester, N.H.; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Leon V. and Ruth Melvin. A graveside committal service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. A family gathering will be held at the Tremblay residence after the committal.
