ORRINGTON and DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Wilbur J. Buehler died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at his home. He was born Aug. 7, 1930, in Alliance, Ohio, lived in Maine and retired to Daytona Beach, Fla. He spent four years in the Navy and retired from his teaching position at Bangor High School in August 1990. Wilbur was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1994. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marilyn (Miner) Buehler; five children and their spouses, Sheryl and Andy Gray of Dedham, Leslie Buehler of Carmel, Lorrie and Trever Gray of Dedham, Pam and Charlie Taylor of Orrington and John and Lori Buehler of Levant; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Snyder and Ruth Buehler. He was predeceased by a son, Terry Buehler in May 2006. Family and friends may visit 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a memorial service will be held 4 p.m. with Pastor Carl Schreiber, interim pastor of the East Orrington Congregational Church, presiding. Burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, Orrington will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family, care of Lorrie Gray, 356 Bald Mountain Rd., Dedham, ME 04429.
