WINONA MAY (CLEMENT) SEEKINS STOCKTON SPRINGS -Winona May (Clement) Seekins, was called home to be at God’s glorious side Sept. 3, 2006, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends in her home where she was most happy. Winona was born Nov. 28, 1942, to Maynard and Laura Clement, the fifth of nine children. Winona graduated from Bucksport High School in 1960 and she later married the late Timothy Eugene Seekins Sr. in July 1960. Winona was affectionately known as “Winnie” by her loving sisters who devoted so much time to her over the years. Winona was a devoted member of the Stockton Springs Community Church. She was deeply loved by all and was well-known for her jolly laugh, kind smile and her generosity. Winona is survived by her two children, Tim Jr. and Natalie Walker and their spouses, Teresa Seekins and Bobby Walker. She had six wonderful grandchildren, John Tardy, Samantha Seekins, Sarah Seekins, Allison Walker, Audrey Walker, Robert T. Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Amanda and John Tardy. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Stockton Springs Community Church with Pastor Art Cotton officiating. A gathering for friends and family will be held at the community building. The family requests donations be made in Winnie’s memory to Stockton Springs Community Church, Church Street, Stockton Springs, ME 04981. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
