KINGMAN – Wilfred A. “Bucky” Osgood, 79, died April 1, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born in Old Town, the son of Fred and Anna (Thompson) Osgood. Bucky enjoyed the simple things in life, watching the birds and squirrels at his feeder, a bright sunny day and his independence during the warmer months. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, Kingman. Bucky was thankful to have had five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and for the time he spent with them. Bucky was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Annette (Jipson) Osgood of Kingman; three children, Elaine Hunter and her husband, Terry, of Ashland, Alan Osgood and his wife, Shelley, of Kingman and Scott Osgood of Kingman; grandchildren, Beth Hunter, Christi Doyen, Daren Hunter Randi Arthurs and Ryan Osgood; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Taylor; three sisters, Helen Keith, Marilyn Noble and Patricia Perry, all of Kingman; two brothers, Jesse Osgood of Kingman and Fred Osgood of Millinocket; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Anna; two brothers, Franklin and Daniel; and two sisters, Nellie Keith and Paula Linscott. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church, Kingman, with the Rev. Roger Cyr officiating. Interment will be at Kingman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Catholic Church or a charity of one’s choice.
