GLENBURN – Wilfred C. “Sonny” Littlefield, 64, died suddenly June 8, 2004, surrounded by his family at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 20, 1940, in Chapman, the son of the late Lawrence and Nettie (Pendexter) Littlefield. Sonny was a truck driver all of his life until his retirement in 2003. He was a very hard worker who loved his family and friends. Sonny love to make people laugh and enjoyed being surrounded by people. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed listening to old time country music. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Alice “Nancy” (Marquis) Littlefield of Glenburn; a daughter, Cathy McDonald and husband, David, of Brewer; two sons, John Littlefield and wife, Wendy, of Northeast Harbor, Pat Littlefield and wife, Amy, of Hermon; three sisters, Sarah “Carol” Kenny of Bangor, Winnie Ireland and husband, Dana, of Castle Hill, Linda Carmichael and husband, Mickey, of Houlton; three brothers, Lawrence Littlefield and wife, Rachel, of Carmel, Steve Littlefield and wife, Marilynne, of Hermon, Robert Littlefield and wife, Alice, of Ashland; six grandchildren, Ashleigh, Ryan, Haley, Shelby, Patrick, and Justin, and many nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Steven & Marilynne Littlefield’s home, 2030 Glenwood Ave., Hermon, following the services.
