ST. JOHN – Wilfred M. Soucy, 84, died March 25, 2007, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Limestone, the son of Marcel and Marie (Rossignol) Soucy. He was predeceased by one son, Michael Soucy, April 7, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Alma (Laverdier) Soucy of St. John; his children, Mary Anne Heinz and her husband, Al, of Sandown, N.H., Thelma Pelletier of St. Francis, Clayton Soucy and his wife, Anna, Roger Soucy and his wife, Christine and Kenneth Soucy, all of St. John Plantation, Cindy Soucy of Hampstead, N.H. and Tammy Nadeau and her husband, Gerard, of Caribou; a nephew, raised as a son, Donald Laverdiere and his wife, Crystal, of St. Francis; a grandson, raised as a son, Sean Soucy and his wife, Lisa, of Epping, N.H.; one brother, Roland and his wife, Lee, of Wallingford, Conn.; two sisters, Bernice Gendreau of Bristol, Conn., and Beatrice Turner and her husband, Charles, of Wallingford, Conn., 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Albertine Gagnon; and two brothers, Joseph and Louis Soucy. Friends may call at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 8 a.m. Friday until time of departure for St. John. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, at St. John Catholic Church, St. John. Spring burial will be held May 16, at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
