ST. ANDREWS, New Brunswick – William “Willie” Woodside went to be with the Lord March 11, 2007, with his wife and sister by his side. He was born in Charlotte County, New Brunswick, the son of the late Reid and Thelma Woodside. Willie moved to the United State in the 1950s and worked in construction. He worked for 30 years for Local 4 of the operating engineers union. He is survived by his wife, Anna; one son, Willie and wife, Rose Woodside; grandson, Christopher Woodside; Rose’s children, Carrie Cushman and Jeff Blackwell; five daughters, Pam Ivey and husband, Roger and son, Tommy, of Calais, Cindy Johnston and husband, Steve and children, Alex and Sam, of Cumberland, Linda Severance and husband, Larry and son, Chad Moreside, of Calais, Lisa Goodman and husband, Weston, of Massachusetts and Angel Phelps of Georgia; stepdaughters, Margie Worth and husband, Glen and Heather Townsend and husband, David; and sons, David and George; sister, Reida Woodside; and brother, Sydney of Fredericton, New Brunswick; one aunt, Elizabeth Pearson and her daughter, Thelma and family; one niece, Marina Nixon of Calais. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. March 31, at the New Life Christian Assembly Church, Old Ridge, New Brunswick with Pastor Douglas McLean officiating. Interment will take place at Moores Mills Cemetery at a later date.
