MASARDIS – Willard B. “Tex” Littlefield Jr., 59, died unexpectedly Jan. 26, 2005, at his Route 11 residence in Masardis. He was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Willard B. and Ethel Mae (Belcher) Littlefield Sr. He was a 1963 graduate of South Windsor High School in Connecticut. He was employed by the Town of South Windsor Public Works Department for many years. He relocated to Masardis over a year ago. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his life-long family friends. Bill is survived by two step-sons, Louis Bartlett and his wife, Julie, of Ellington, Conn., and Christopher Bartlett and his wife, Anna, of Portsmouth, R.I.; one sister, Sandra Littlefield of North Carolina; four stepgrandchildren; one nep-hew, Joseph Chasse; two nieces, Lisa Capitan and Jessica Littlefield; three grandnieces and grandnephews. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, Conn. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will be in the family lot of the Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor.
