CORINTH – William “Sonny” “Bill” Stymiest, 64, died March 31, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 29, 1940, in Brewer the son of John and Mitilda (Alum) Stymiest. Sonny served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era serving in Germany. He worked many years in the auto body painting business and loved to restore antique cars. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. Sonny also loved his guitar and old country music. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Wilson) Stymiest of Corinth; his son, Allan Stymiest and his fianc?e, Debbie, of Holden; two brothers, Kenny of Corinth, Peter and his wife, Sandra, of Ohio; five sisters, Georgia and her husband, Donald McLain, of Newburgh, Linda McKenna of Levant, Evelyn and her husband, Philip Daniels, of Corinth, Glenda and her husband, Edward McKenna, of Hampden, Donna Ross and her friend, Leslie Douglas, of Corinth; one granddaughter, Kaitlynn; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and his sidekick, “Amber”. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Danny, Allan, Gary; and two sisters, Sharon and Carolyn. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 4, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating.
