HODGDON – William “Bill” C. Monahan, 72, died Oct. 22, 2006, in Houlton. He was born May 25, 1934, in Hodgdon, the son of Merle and MaryAnn (Brown) Monahan. He loved to hunt, fish, go four-wheeling and snowsleding. Bill was a member of the National Rifle Association, and had a great love for horses. He was also a member of the Aroostook Riding Club for many years and enjoyed doing yard sales. He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy and her husband, Richard Nickerson, of Presque Isle, JoAnn and her husband, Tony Pavano, of Plainville, Conn.; one brother, who was a very special friend, Robert Monahan of Hodgdon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Betty Haney and Arlene Richards. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with the Rev. Mark Lunn officiating. Interment will be at Hodgdon Cemetery.
