MILLINOCKET – William Channing “Bill” Waldo, 77, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at a Millinocket health care facility. He was born June 22, 1929, in Plymouth, N.H., the son of Henry C. and Mildred M. (Maguire) Waldo. Bill graduated from Laconia High School, Class of 1947 and from Norwich University, Class of 1951, with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He was the treasurer of the Millinocket Fin and Feather Club and was a member of the Norwich University Partridge Society and the Newcomen Society. Bill will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Celia May (London) Waldo of Millinocket; three children, Channing Waldo and his wife, Nan, of Lincoln, N.H., Colleen Donley and her husband, Robert, of Gorham and Tina Charette and Michael Bouchard of Sanford; six grandchildren, Crystal, Erica, Michelle, Kendra, Benjamin and Julia; and many wonderful friends. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln, N.H., in the springtime. Gifts in memory of Bill may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
