ORLAND – On Dec. 6, 2003, I lost my best friend and the love of my life, William Comtois. He was a good father, even though he had been sick for the past two years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt with his sons. And although he was ill, he still got to see his 10-year old son get his hunting license and take him hunting this season. In the summers, he fished with his boys off the bridge and other kids that loved to join them. Billy was a fine carpenter for 25 years employed by F. L. Davis of Orland and subcontracted for Randy Sinclair of Sinclair Builders. Billy was very talented at building homes as well as all aspects of carpentry. He will be sorely missed by his wife, Georgena, of 12 years. The pain of losing him will never go away. He is also survived by his three sons, Marshall William Comtois, 23, of Bangor, Little Billy Comtois, 10, of East Orland, and James Cary Comtois, 8, of East Orland; his mother, Gloria Parkhurst of Bucksport, and stepfather, Rodney Parkhurst of Bucksport; brothers, Scott Parkhurst of Bucksport, Kevin Parkhurst of Bucksport, Cary Comtois of Orland; and a special sister, Robin Soper of Orland; as well as several nieces and nephews. Billy also had so many friends, it would be impossible to list them all. Interment will be held in the spring with Father Randy Eldridge officiating. A private ceremony will also be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Billy and J.C.’s college fund, through Bangor Savings Bank of Bucksport, care of Wendy Dunlap.
