WESTFIELD – William D. “Billy” Holmes, 40, a loving son and father, died unexpectedly Oct. 30, 2007, at his home. He was born April 7, 1967, in Presque Isle, the son of Jarvis and Carolyn (Ryder) Holmes. Billy worked for Bell Farms, Mars Hill. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting cars. He is survived by his parents of Westfield; a son, William Dale Jr.; a daughter, Angel Dawn Holmes, both of Danforth; several cousins, and many friends, including special friends, Dave Littlefield, Les Smith, Pat Patterson and James Dumont. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. A memorial gathering will be held noon Saturday at United Baptist Church, Mars Hill, with the Rev.
