HAMPDEN – William E. Warren went to be with the Lord Feb. 23, 2004. He passed away at home in the company of his loving family. He was the son of James David and Mary Bell Warren. William was born and raised in Humboldt, Tenn. He grew up in a loving household with four brothers and four sisters. Several years after marrying Ruby Elvie Grimes they moved their family to California. William and Ruby decided to retire in Texas, and finally moved to Maine to spend their golden years with their family. William was a loving family man who instilled the value of family into all that he loved. He was a hard worker. He worked his early years on the farm and 25 years as a freight handler for trucking companies. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. William loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, walking and being in nature. William is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruby Warren of Hampden; his daughters, Barbara Kerrigan of Hampden and Judy Warren of Belfast; his grandchildren, Casey Kerrigan-Redwine of Hampden, Grant Kerrigan of Hampden, and Brandon Kerrigan of Sykesville, Md.; his great-granddaughter, Alyssa Redwine of Hampden; sister, Mildred Blazer of Henderson, Nev.; two very special brothers-in-law, James Blazer of Artesia, Calif., and Ernest Grimes of Humboldt, Tenn.; three special sisters-in-law, Estelle Warren of Humboldt, Tenn., Mabel Trimmer of Humboldt, Tenn., and Jennifer Grimes of Humboldt, Tenn.; many well loved nieces and nephews; as well as many friends and “adopted” family members. A private service was held by the family. A spring interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Hampden.
