BANGOR – William F. McAllister, 80, died Feb. 29, 2004, at an Ells-worth hospital. He was born March 29, 1924, in Bangor, the son of Arthur and Frances (McCloud) McAllister. After graduating from high school, Bill began working for Eastern Fine Paper and then joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served three years. He was an avid fisherman all year long and enjoyed the outdoors. He truly enjoyed playing poker with his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with Jordan, Gavin, Desmond and Savannah. He is survived by two sons, Mike McAllister and his wife, Debra, of Orono, Mickey McAllister of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Marjorie and her husband, Kevin Grindle, of Dedham; three brothers and their wives, Ken and Ann McAllister of Stamford, Conn., Donald and Marg McAllister of Barre, Vt., Bobby and Brenda McAllister of Milwaukie, Ore.; one sister and her husband, Madeline and Bill Buckley of Fla.; one granddaughter, Carrie; one great-granddaughter, Emily; and he will be missed by a very special friend, Tea-pot Parsons.
