BAILEYVILLE – William G. Coffin, 66, died April 18, 2005, at the Maine Veteran’s Home, Bangor. He was born Dec. 10, 1938, in Baileyville, the son of William G. and Ruth P. (McLeod) Coffin. He graduated from Woodland High School, Class of 1957, and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Mr. Coffin was employed with Georgia Pacific for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Spednic Club of Woodland and the Woodland American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn A. Coffin of Baileyville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Rich Heleen of Hampden; a brother, Ed Coffin and his wife, Ginny, of Vermont; a sister, Sandra Bottcher and her husband, Gunther, of Massachusetts; a brother-in-law, Elwood Tozier and his wife, Brenda, of Princeton; a sister-in-law, Nancy Gonzales and her husband, Ron, of Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews; two special great-nephews, Gary John Clinch and Mitchell Pratt. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at the Woodland Cemetery, Bailey-ville.
