HANCOCK – William H. “Bill” Harriman, 62, died Nov. 5, 2006, at his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1944, in Boston, the son of Howard and Claire (Campbell) Harriman. Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion. He served as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop No. 189 and was the father of an Eagle Scout. Bill was also the proud father of quadruplets. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. His family and friends will remember him as an avid Red Sox fan and for his favorite quote, “just ducky.” Bill is survived by five sons, Andrew W. Harriman and his wife, Katie, of Stonington, Peter G. Harriman of Orono, Daniel A. Harriman of Augusta, Matthew J. Harriman of Deer Isle and Craig W. Harriman of South Carolina; one sister, Gail Bernardo of Attleboro, Mass.; five grandchildren, Corbin, Col-tin, Emma, Brianna and Lilly; one niece and two nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at St. Joseph Church, 231 Main St., Ellsworth.
