STACYVILLE – William H. “Bill” Robinson, 83, passed into eternity Jan. 3, 2007, at his home. Bill was born June 25, 1923, in Stacyville. He was the eldest son of the late Sylvester and Mildred (Cullen) Robinson. He entered the Army Air Corp November 1941, serving his country until 1946. He traveled the country learning and honing his craft as an expert carpenter, returning to Stacyville in 1962, where he entered the employment of Great Northern Paper Co., Millinocket, retiring in 1986. Bill will be remembered as a loving husband and father, a caring friend and a happy fellow who always had a joke to share. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marian (Murph) Robinson; three daughters, Judy and husband, Troy Barns, Janet and husband, Morris Robinson, both of North Carolina and Joyce and husband, Skip Schwarz, of New Hampshire; three sons, Billy R. and wife, Anna, of Stacyville, Jack and wife, Tina, of Bowdoin and Mark and wife, Sonya, of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merrill Robinson of Houlton and Leon and wife, Bonita Robinson, of Stacyville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Richard Robinson and two grandchildren. Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Leon Robinson, pastor of the Mattawamkeag Methodist Church and the Rev. Carlton Huntley officiating. Private interment will be at Stacyville Station Road Cemetery.
