NEWBURGH and HUDSON, N.H. – William Linscott Severance, 77, passed away July 15, 2007, at his home in Newburgh. He was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Passadumkeag, the son of Frank E. and Annie (Linscott) Severance. William was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He lived in New Hampshire for many years, where he was a farmer and retired from Lockhead Sanders, Nashua, N.H. He moved to Maine in 1995. William enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and going to hunting camp with the boys. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Mushrow) Severance in 1997. He is survived by his eight children, Brenda Smith, Cheryl Stone, both of New Hampshire, Wendy Kelley of New Brunswick, Deborah Baker, Russ Severance, Timothy Severance, Kimberly Roemer, all of New Hampshire, and Todd Severance of Maine; three sisters, Tillie, Hope and Freda; and one brother, Durwood; 16 grandchildren, five great-grand-children, nieces; nephews, including two special nephews, Brian Mushrow and Bruce Brown and many loved in-laws. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hamp-den. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
