LYMAN, S.C. and STEUBEN William Maxwell Pinkham, 79, died Oct. 1, 2007, in Lyman, S.C. He was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Steuben, the son of Clarence G. and Doris (Parritt) Pinkham. William was a U.S. Army veteran from 1949 to 1951. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Irving Southworth Lodge No. 350 AF of Lyman, S.C., Scottish Rite of Freemasonry SJ USA 18 Valley of Spartanburg Orient of South Carolina, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry SJ USA 32 Valley of Greenville Orient of South Carolina, Hejaz Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S. of Greenville, S.C., Boiling Springs OES No. 283 Boiling Springs, S.C., and the Mid City Shrine Club of Lyman, S.C. Surviving are his wife, Betty Sue Sutton Pinkham; son, Billy Lee and wife, Pam, of Lyman, S.C.; daughters, Dorothy Livingston and Joe of Baton Rouge, La., and Rita Wharton and Darrell of Belton, Texas; sisters, Marilyn Parmenter and Roy of Augusta, and Georgia Frye of Ellsworth; brother, Robert and wife, Vadeen, of Hancock; grandchildren, Chris, Joey, Traci, Andy and wife, Kayla, Cky, Phillip, Mandy and husband, Michael; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Hannah, Macy, McKenzie, Hunter, Natalie and one due in January 2008; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Becky Truelove; brother, Clarence Jr.; and sisters, Iola Grindle, Ethel Poors and Hazel Hinckley. Calling hours will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.
