WALDORF, Md., and BANGOR – William P. Curley passed away May 14, 2008, at Civista Hospital, LaPlata, Md. He was born March 1, 1929, in Philadelphia, the son of Harry J Curley and Margaret (Darcy) Curley. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees and enjoyed watching his games. William retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972, as a senior master sergeant with 24 years of service. He served in the Vietnam and Korean wars. William was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Geraldine (Leighton) Curley. He will be sadly missed by his family, Kathleen Salley and husband, Rick, Charles Curley and wife, Patricia, Linda Burleigh, Thomas Curley and wife, Michelle, William Curley and wife, Joan, and David Curley and wife, Joyce; many brothers, sisters, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Burial service will be held Aug. 11 at Arlington National Cemetery.
