ROANOKE, Va. – On Tuesday, June 10, 2008, the Lord called Theresa Marie Rosa home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Theresa was born July 14, 1956, in Bronx, N.Y. She graduated from New Milford High School, New Milford, Conn., in 1974. During the 1980s, Theresa moved to Gardiner, then to Waterville and in 2006, to Roanoke, Va. Throughout her illness, Theresa remained active in her church and started her own business. She never gave up the fight, never gave up the hope and always praised the Lord for her blessings. She was selfless in her actions and loving of her family. She was a testament to strength and courage. Theresa will be remembered in the hearts of many, daughter, Erin; mother, Betty Jo; sisters, Joanne, Christina, Margaret, Kari and Jennifer; brothers, Peter, Vincent, Anthony and Lowell; nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and all whose lives she has touched. She will remain forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed. Memorial services were held 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Oakey’s South Chapel with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service 2:30 p.m. July 13 at her brother, Peter’s home, 1387 Kirkland Road, Old Town.
