BELFAST – Willis Chet Lisa, 69, passed away Feb. 8, 2008, at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1938, in West Haven, Conn. Willie lived a full life. He leaves behind his beloved wife of many years, Rowena (Currier) Lisa. They shared their life together working, plowing and traveling in life, as well as family. Together they ran High Street Market for a few years and still run BMI Janitorial, which Willie started. They were good partners. He was past great sachem of the state of Maine, as well as past sachem in the local Redman Tribe, where he was life member. He was chaplain of American Post No. 43 and custodian of First Church in Belfast, for 27 years. He enjoyed going to USS Norris Reunions for the past 11 years and twice to the Healy Reunions. He tried to work hard, filling his duties until his cancer took over. He was predeceased by two daughters, Murial Lisa and Mona Lisa Noddin. Willie is survived by his wife, Rowena; his children, Richard Lisa and Tina of Brooks, Beverly Seek-ins and Kevin of Sedgwick, Jimmy Hill of Alabama, Elaine Serpa of Alabama, Laura Baker of Florida, Kari Lisa of Belfast, Tim White and Barbara of Waldo, Bill White and Fran of Belmont, Mark White and Chantal of Belmont, Pam Bus-well and Richard of New Hampshire, Brenda Warman of Belfast, Sheila Farrell of Belfast and Bruce Farrell of Belfast; two sisters, Patty Duncan of Texas and Mona Lemarie of Connecticut; and a brother, John Stout of Pennsylvania. Willie is one of 15 children. He leaves 35 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves two very dear fri-ends, Harold and Anna Clough of New Hampshire, whom he enjoyed doing many things with. He had many friends. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. A full military funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at First Church in Belfast.
