ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Willis Swanson Paine Sr. passed away July 28, 2008, at his home. He was born April 30, 1932, in Bar Harbor, the son of Harold M. Paine Sr. and Helen Swanson Paine. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Zephyrhills, Fla. He attended Coyne Electrical School in Massachusetts and was a master electrician. He retired from Portsmouth Naval Yard as a general foreman. He is survived by his wife, Katharine W. Paine; and four children, Willis Paine Jr. and wife, Ann, Dennis Paine and wife, Victoria, and David Paine and wife, Darlene; daughter, Deborah Thyng and husband, James; one sister, Olive Johnston and husband, Earland; one brother, Robert and wife, Gladis; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be at National Cremation Society, Florida.
