BANGOR – Wilma E. Doughty, 79, died Nov. 9, 2007, at her residence. She was born July 27, 1928, in Old Town, the daughter of Benjamin and Carolyn (Smith) Adams. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post No. 1761, Bangor. Wilma enjoyed her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren with gatherings of family and friends at camp for a food party. She is survived by two sons, Richard A. and his wife, Patricia, of Levant and Dean H. and his wife, Krystyna, of Bangor; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra J. and her husband, Skip McIntosh, of Levant and Mrs. Karen and her husband, Keith Kinney, of Hudson; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one special niece, Bickey Poston; one sister, Ruby Coleman of Ohio; a dear friend, Betty Baker; and a large extended family. Wilma was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Richard in 2004. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, with the Rev. Lewis Cushman officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to meet 1:45 p.m. at the Superintendents Office. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
