CALAIS – Winifred “Winnie” E. Lentz, 92, of Calais, died Feb. 8, 2005, at a Calais hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1912, in Calais, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Waycott) Kelley. Winnie graduated from Calais Academy, Class of 1931. She enjoyed playing the piano, and songs such as the Twelfth Street Rag, other oldies as well as hymns. She attended M.T. Crabb Business College in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Dolph Lentz, of Calais; one son, Clifford “Kip” Robinson and his wife, Barbara of Florida; one brother, Douglas Kelley and his wife, Dorothy of St. Stephen, N.B.; sister-in-law, Mabel Kelley of Calais; granddaughter, Brenda Ramsdell and her husband, Randy, of East Machias; great-granddaughters, Kellie Ramsdell Kilton and Shana Ramsdell; great-great-granddaughter, Kisten Lee Kilton; grandson, Dolph Frost and great-grandson, Dominic Frost; nephews, James Lunn, Douglas Archer, Ken Tim and Doug Kelley, who she loved. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pauline “Honey” Chase. Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Those who wish may make gifts in her memory to the Calais Methodist Church Building Fund or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
