LIMESTONE – Winston A. Brooker, 69, passed away Sunday morning, April 13, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility, after a brief illness. He was born June 22, 1938, in Limestone, the son of Perley and Ethel (West) Brooker. He attended local schools and was a lifelong member of Limestone Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, Winston was predeceased by his brother, Darrel Brooker Sr. in 1998; two nephews, Darrel Brooker Jr. in 1991 and Danny Brooker in 1997; two great-nephews, Jeremiah Hall in 1985 and Chase Lockwood in 2007. He is survived by three nieces, Dawn White and her husband, Rickey, of Oxford, Mass., Debra Sullivan and her husband, Larry, of Melbourne, Fla., and Darlene Hall of West Melbourne, Fla.; sister-in-law, Patricia Morey of West Melbourne, Fla.; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Winston will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his church family at Limestone Assembly of God and by his dear friend and pastor, the Rev. Robert Amuzzini. A graveside service of committal will be conducted at Advent Cemetery, Limestone, later in the spring.
