EASTON – Winston H. Larsen, 72, died unexpectedly May 28, 2006, in Presque Isle. He was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Hanford C. and Dora (Doak) Larsen. He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight and one half years, 1953-1962, and worked for the Easton School Department for 22 years as a bus driver and custodian. He was very active for 40 years in the Boys Scouts of America. He was a member of the Easton Methodist Church, the American Legion Post No. 187, the Easton ATV Club, and treasurer of the Kiwanis Club in Easton. Winston is survived by a brother, Wilmot Larsen and his wife, Dorothy, of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister, Verla Courey and her husband, Joseph, of South Windsor, Conn.; nieces and nephews, Patsy Holmquist and her husband, Charles, of Presque Isle, JoAnn Sargent and her husband, Scott, of Gardiner, Suzanne Courey-Bonaccorsi and her husband, Bob, of Coventry, Conn., Kathy Marziale and her husband, Nick, of South Windsor, Conn., Paul Courey of Ellington, Conn., and Sharon Courey of South Windsor, Conn.; great-nieces and great-nephews, James Holmquist of Old Town, Jennifer Holmquist of Presque Isle, Aaron and Alissa Sargent of Gardiner, Chris and Jay Marziale, Ryan Courey, all of South Windsor, Conn.; special friends, Mike and Loris Allen, Daniel and Leonna King, all of Easton, and Eugene McLaughlin Sr. of Presque Isle. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 2, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, with the Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating. A military committal will follow with members of the American Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Winston to the Boys Scouts of America, P.O.
